In My Write Mind
I'm supposed to be contributing to a new magazine's March issue and the editor asked that I come up with three to five cultural topics that I can choose from to write about. It's a lifestyles magazine in the ilk of Vanity Fair and the New Yorker. I skimmed through those two mags over the weeekend and was left uninspired. In fact, I may never read them again. Which leaves me standing still. With no inspiration.
In need of help.
Seeing as the elections will be over by March, and ummm, I'm pretty positive that this magazine couldn't care less about what I think about this year's NBA...I'm at a loss.
Seeing that it's for March, ya think anyone'd be interested in a piece on the March of the Wooden Soldiers? Should I profile The March of Dimes? The Million Mom March? A St. Paddy's Day tribute? How about a fiction piece on the Ides of March? Hell, maybe some background on St. Ides?!?!?! I dunno!
So, now I come to you and ask...fellow bloggers, if you had to come up with 1-2 cultural phenomenons, things happening in the world today, to capture in written form, what would they be? Best answer will get special mention in the piece that I finally settle on. (Trust me...I'll find a way to work your name in. I got skills...lol)
Please leave your suggestions in my comments area and I will let you know by Friday what the best one is. I thank you all in advance for your help.

I write entirely to find out what I'm thinking, what I'm looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear. (Joan Didion)
